This policy explains what personal data Alfawine Group Ltd collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It is written for the UK. If anything here is unclear, contact us and we will explain it in plain terms.
Who we are
Alfawine Group Ltd is a cleaning company registered in England and Wales under company number 17465482, whose registered office is at 708a High Road, London, England, N12 9QL. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
We clean at your premises. The address we are registered at is a correspondence address, not a premises we operate from.
What we collect
If you ask us for a quote
- Your name
- Your telephone number, and your WhatsApp number if you give one
- Your email address, if you give one
- Your company name, if you give one
- The address of the property to be cleaned and its postcode
- The service you are interested in, a preferred date, and whether you need an overnight shift
- Anything you write in the job description box
- Photographs you send us over WhatsApp or by email
If you just browse the site
The site does not use advertising cookies. A small preference is stored in your browser to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. That preference is kept in your own browser, is not sent to us, and cannot identify you.
Why we collect it, and on what lawful basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. This is our contract position under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
To reply to you and keep a record of the job. Also a contract position, once a quote is accepted.
To send you a quote by WhatsApp or email, which also relies on consent under Article 6(1)(a), given by messaging us or asking us to contact you.
To meet our legal obligations as a company, which is a legal obligation basis under Article 6(1)(c). This covers keeping records that UK company and tax law requires us to hold.
We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making. We do not build marketing lists from the contact form, and we do not sell or share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
- Meta (WhatsApp). If you message us on WhatsApp, your message and number are processed by Meta under their privacy policy. WhatsApp is the fastest way to send us photographs, which is why we use it.
- Our email provider and web host. They process the data in order to deliver messages to you and to run this site.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
International transfers
Some of the providers above process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the provider’s own adequacy regulations. We keep the amount of data we send to a minimum, which is why we prefer a WhatsApp message with two photographs to an attachment-heavy email.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a job: 12 months from the last contact, so we can pick the thread back up if you come back.
- Jobs we have done: 6 years from the last invoice. UK tax law requires accounting records to be kept for 6 years from the end of the accounting period.
- Job photographs: for as long as the job record is kept. Photographs of your home or premises are deleted sooner on request — see below.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data. We will do it unless we are legally required to keep the record.
- Restriction and portability — ask us to pause or hand over your data in a portable format.
- Object — ask us to stop contacting you for marketing. We will stop; we will still service an existing booking.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, by messaging us.
Write to info@alfawinegroup.com. We aim to answer within 30 days.
Photographs of your property
We take photographs to quote accurately and, where you ask for them, to show you before and after results. We do not publish photographs of a domestic property without your written permission, and we will delete any photographs of your home or premises on request.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics are added later, this policy and the cookie notice will be updated before they are enabled, and you will be asked to consent first.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
